Part of the Great Lakes Region, Tea Gardens / Hawks Nest is situated on the northern shores of Port
Stephens. From Tea Gardens you can access 4 beautiful waterways: Port Stephens, Tasman Sea, Myall
River, Myall Lakes and Great Lakes System.
And there are lots of other things to do!
- Bush Walking - Myall Lakes National Park - The "Mungo Track" is a 21km bushwalk which starts at
the Hawks Nest Surf Club.
- Dining - Sample the fine food at one of the waterfront restaurants or cafes at Tea Gardens.
- Dolphin Watching - Watch the dolphins surf the waves at Bennetts or Jimmy's beach.
- Fishing - Hire a boat at Tea Gardens or you can use our jetty for deep water access to Port
Stephens.
- Golf - Test your ability on the beautiful 18 hole all weather sand-belt Hawks Nest Golf Course.
- Hawks Nest Koala Reserve - Across the Singing Bridge, view the koalas as they feed on their favourite
tree, the rough barked Swamp Mahogany.
- Local Markets - Discover the delights of the Great Lakes Markets, browse for those hidden treasures
or simply taste the delights of the local produce.

- 4WD - There are five 4WD access routes onto the beach off Mungo Brush Road.
